Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, a self-proclaimed compassionate heretic choosing empathy over heartlessness. I emanate confidence but delusional about the very meaning of it. I often hide my true intentions to protect my integrity therefore manipulation is not permitted in my orbit.
Born in 1974 reveals my Gen X traditions. I lived on 80’s heavy metal, pop, 70's hard rock, and all the heaviness that pollinated the sub-genres up until now. The occasional nod to blues and classical music often shows up in my musical lineage. I have a devout fondness for goth rock, techno, darkwave, synthwave, and the many artists that continue redefining boundaries and steering ships through turbulent waters. You keep me inspired thus I steer my own ship, wherever it may take me.
I was introduced to the electric guitar at a very young age but struggled in its complexity. Therefore, bass guitar seemed easier to master…I was fooled in believing that to be true, it wasn't. I always wanted to write songs and found this process filled with an overwhelming list of challenges. In 1998, I decided to pick up the guitar again and as a result, committed to classical guitar for a few years in the process. Piano and keyboards seemed fun as well, self-taught though, so expectations should remain low.
A brief history, I joined my first band in 1992. I was quite naive in the early beginnings because the lads were all 5 years older than I. It was easy to recognize a few years later the 80’s thrash and early 90’s black metal monstrosity it was…fun times.
In the early to mid-90’s it was death metal at play. I passively hid my gothic tendencies that kept creeping into my discography. A couple years before the new century kicked in, I attempted to engage in the complexities of writing songs.
Second wave black metal defined me at the time thus I adopted a more chaotic, atmospheric, and melodic approach to writing. For nine years I committed to one band while navigating through the challenges it exposed. No regrets, no hard feelings, and the fond memories remain. Only one album but it still means a lot to me, forever and always.
In 2004, I decided to record my own album. A continuation of melodic tinged black metal while making those savvy about old school metal blink incessantly. It took a couple years to write and record the songs but well worth the wait. The album comprises 11 songs which occasionally invokes a mess of bad indigestion.
In the later half of the decade, I attempted goth rock/metal by forming a new band. I tend to overthink the results, but they seemed mixed. One album came out of it, but I felt it got lost in translation. The goth elements were toned down and lost the sentimental value that was intended.
In 2014, I decided to commit to writing, recording and producing my own albums. In 2015, my first born. I now have 10…The discipline, solitude, responsibility, and commitment must remain consistent. It's a lot of fun though, I guess I'll keep (re)producing for as long as I can.
As it stands today, my philosophy is simple, just get on with it. Life is not short; it's the passage of time that makes it feel that way.

Stormee
STORMEE
VOCALIST | MUSICIAN | COMPOSER | AUDIO PRODUCTION
Stormee is an Ottawa-born artist whose sound reflects a life shaped between cultures and genres.
She began singing almost as soon as she could speak and started playing the harp at seven years old. At twelve, she moved to Paris, France, where she lived until the age of twenty-four. She trained in classical music throughout her teenage years in local Paris conservatories, studying opera and building a strong technical foundation rooted in discipline and emotional expression.
At eighteen, she entered the Conservatoire de Paris — and that’s where things began to shift. Enrolled in a program that wasn’t strictly classical, Stormee started experimenting with new styles and expanding beyond the traditional framework she had grown up in. That period marked a turning point: she began exploring different genres, questioning structure, and redefining what music could look like for her.
She first leaned into hard rock, drawn to its intensity and expressive freedom, before eventually transitioning into electronic music. Today, Stormee blends these influences into a sound that feels textured and intentional — incorporating harp elements, subtle French inspiration, and a wide range of stylistic references that reflect her diverse background.
Her music balances softness and edge, structure and experimentation. Rather than fitting into one genre, Stormee focuses on creating atmosphere — bringing together classical roots, rock energy, and electronic production to shape a sound that continues to evolve.
Stormee’s work is a reflection of where she’s been — and where she’s going.
